Suresh Kotla | Director, Sustainable Manufacturing

Suresh Kotla is Director of Sustainable Manufacturing in India. Before joining ISC, Suresh managed 10 large scale projects as Project Lead for the Green Project Management Company and Vision Pacific Group, Ltd. Out of these 10 projects, three were certified by US Green Building Council and received a LEED Platinum rating. He headed the India division of Vision Pacific Group, offering services in manufacturing, design and engineering, project management, investments, and finance to clients in China, India, Australia, London, France, and North America. In addition to this experience, he has worked with nonprofits for nine years on community development initiatives.
Suresh completed his Bachelor’s degree in Science from Mumbai University, majoring in Physics & Electronic Instrumentation. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP), certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI), and is a LEED Green Associate (LEED GA), certified by Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI). Suresh is a professional vocalist, with two gospel albums to his name. He also enjoys event management and has organized large events, including a reception on the US Consulate Lawns in Mumbai attended by 700 guests from India’s business community.

Amit Kumar Singh Parihar is the Program Officer supporting ISC’s EHS+ Center in India, with a particular focus on energy. In this role, Amit works primarily with the EHS+ Center staff and other concerned stakeholders and supports energy-related activities of the EHS+ Center.
Amit has more than 8 years of experience in energy & environment, with key focus on energy management and renewable energy. Prior to joining ISC, Amit worked with various consultancy and research organizations in renewable energy and energy efficiency. He has experience working on projects funded by various bilateral and multilateral organizations including the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), UNIDO, World Bank, UNDP, and GIZ, among others.
Amit holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He is a certified Energy Auditor by Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Government of India and has also acquired Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Law (PGDEL) from National Law University Bangalore and other certification related to Industrial safety.

Madhuri Newale | Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Consultant

Madhuri Newale is the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning consultant responsible for developing and supporting implementation of a robust monitoring and evaluation strategy for ISC’s EHS+ Center Program in India. She brings over 23 years of experience in project management, especially in planning and management of rural development programs in both the NGO and government sectors. Her responsibilities have included concept and strategy development, M&E systems designing, monitoring and evaluation, program management, trainings, institutional assessment and strategic planning. She has worked with a number of donor organizations, including the World Bank, GIZ, government agencies and consultancy organizations. Her deep multi-sectoral (NRM, water, irrigation, livelihoods and health) and multi-agency experience has given her a cross-sector understanding for facilitating reform initiatives.
Prior to ISC, Madhuri worked as Advisor (M&E) at Ernst & Young LLP, developing Monitoring Evaluation & Learning System for AP Vision 2029, Government of Andhra Pradesh. Other key assignments include developing participatory M&E systems for sector reforms in minor irrigation in AP, baseline assessment for 24×7 water supply schemes in the state of Karnataka, impact assessment of Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) support program in India and documentation of best practices in social accountability and gender in rural water supply program. She has worked as Senior Consultant to national consultancy MART, and provided technical backup to research studies, guiding study teams, finalization of study tools, analysis of data as well as reporting and documentation.
Madhuri holds a Master’s of Management Sciences from the University of Pune.

Shawn Phulpagar | Communications and Outreach Officer

Shawn Phulpagar serves as the Communications and Outreach Officer for ISC in Mumbai, India. In this role he manages most of the communications for ISC’s India projects with a particular focus on the EHS+ project.

Shawn brings a wide range of communication and strategy implementation experience from social media marketing to print advertising. He has planned and executed campaign strategies and creative designs for clients from banking, finance and insurance, sports, and hospitality sectors with advertising agencies such as Buzzinga Digital and Instinox.

Previously, Shawn also volunteered in Sri Lanka working to build resilience and aid in recovery in flood-prone areas.

Vibha Prabhu | Program Assistant

Vibha Prabhu is the Program Assistant for ISC’s EHS+ Program in India, with a particular focus on energy. In this role, Vibha provides research support to energy efficiency related activities of the EHS+ Center. Her tasks include coordination with energy consultants and factory visits for audits.
Vibha holds a dual Bachelor’s degree in Sanskrit and B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Goa along with a Master’s degree in Energy and Environmental Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology.

Anannya Mishra | Program Assistant

Anannya Mishra is a Program Assistant for ISC’s EHS+ Program in India. In this role, Anannya conducts research, develops materials, collects and manages data, and liaisons with implementing partners to support various project activities at the EHS+ Center in India. She also assists in ensuring compliance with internal and external stakeholder expectations and donor regulations, and supports monitoring and evaluation.
Previously, Anannya interned with for-profit organizations and civil society organizations in the domains of corporate social responsibility, community development and rural livelihoods.
Anannya holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Symbiosis International University and a Masters of Arts in Sustainable Development Practice from TERI School of Advanced Studies.

Ajinkya Kamat | Program Assistant

Ajinkya Kamat is a Program Assistant supporting ISC’s EHS+ Center project in India.
Prior to joining ISC, he worked with a nonprofit organization as an Assistant Project Officer and implemented conservation projects in various national parks and tiger reserves across India. Ajinkya has worked on several corporate social responsibility initiatives such as wildlife monitoring and access to renewable energy in villages. He was also involved in content creation for Tansa Wildlife Sanctuary’s Nature Interpretation Center.
Ajinkya has completed his Masters and Bachelors in Environmental Sciences from University of Pune, and hold a NEBOSH International General Certification and a certificate in IOSH.

Ronak Mehta | Program and Administrative Assistant

Ronak Harshad Mehta is an Administrative and Program Assistant for ISC’s Indian subsidiary Organization for Sustainable Communities. Prior to coming to ISC, Ronak has brought his skills to bear in a variety of administrative capacities – one year with Credr.com as an Assistant Manager Administration & Nine years at Career Avenues (I) Pvt. Ltd. as an Accounts and Administrative Assistant.
Ronak holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Mumbai University.
