Advanced Training, Inspiring Change

The EHS+ Center provides customized environment, health, safety, and energy training and assistance to factory workers and managers on-site and in the classroom throughout India. Our goal is to help factories become safe, healthy, and green places by inculcating that contribute both to the well-being of their workers as well as India’s growing economy.

We have a wide selection of cost-effective courses and programs that can help those in the textile, construction, automotive, and

chemicals/pharmaceuticals sectors save money through safety and efficiencies and be a good citizen by supporting key Indian initiatives such as Make in India and Clean India Mission.

Launched in 2015, India’s first EHS+ Center was started by the U.S.-based international NGO Institute for Sustainable Communities and its academic institutional partner Symbiosis Institute for International Business (SIIB).

It is exciting for SIIB to be involved in developing a program that is so relevant to the industry and to the business environment. The EHS domain, as a significant component of major industry sectors, requires constant capacity building.

Promoting Best Practices in Sustainable Manufacturing

The Institute for Sustainable Communities’ EHS+ Network is an association of industrial training centers (“EHS+ Centers”) in Asia that equip manufacturing professionals with the technical, management, and leadership skills they need to increase compliance; improve operational efficiencies; and make the business case for adopting sustainable manufacturing practices in their companies.

The EHS+ Network builds the capabilities of EHS practitioners across Asia, and connects practitioners and business leaders across regions and sectors to learn and share ideas on improving the sustainability of supply chains throughout the region.
